Interview Prep Series: Tip 2
Tip 2: Read the Job Description…..Thoroughly!
Reading the job description might be the single most important thing to do in a job search. Even if you read the job description before applying, you should read it again right before the interview to refresh your memory of what the organization is looking for. Understanding the job description helps you to pick out relevant work experience, projects, strengths, and skills that best show your ability to perform the required tasks.
A job description is an employers "wish list" and details exactly what they are looking for and what the candidate will be responsible for. You want to ensure that you are mostly qualified for the job and that you are willing to carry out the responsibilities listed. Reviewing the job description again before the interview will refresh you memory of what the employer is looking for and give you some ideas of verbiage to use and experience to highlight in your interview.
