On the heels of yet another unjust murder of an unarmed black man by law enforcement, we find ourselves at a turning point in history. Many individuals, myself included, have felt more empowered and emboldened to see to it that change takes place and it extends to our places of work. Companies can no longer sit by silently as racial injustice takes center stage.

We are in a unique time in history where companies need to speak out against racism unapologetically. Over the last few weeks organizations have been looking for insight from their employees of color to help guide their efforts in the right way and to hold them accountable. Your voice matters and I encourage you to use it to challenge your leaders to do better. It may be scary to speak truth to power but it’s crucial if meaningful change is to take place.
